'Mission: Impossible 7' Added Del from 'Ozark'
"When Mission: Impossible 7 starts production in late summer or early fall, I expect that you will see that Esai Morales has joined the cast. In place of Nicholas Hoult, who was cast in a villain role earlier this year."
This is a little bit of a bummer only because I was really looking forward to Nicholas Hoult as a villain. Most people know Hoult as Beast in the newer X-Men movies, but he is a fantastic actor as a bad guy. For those of you who have seen 'The Favourite' or 'True History of the Kelly Gang', you know he really pulls off a sadistic performance. That said, I don't hate Morales in this role either. He was fantastic in Ozark and had that cool, quiet demeanor that was frightening through the screen. Following up Sean Harris is going to be a bit of a struggle, though, because he is one of the best bad guys in recent memory.
I'm just excited to see what director Christopher McQuarrie has in the tank because his two MI movies (and Jack Reacher to a lesser extent) were awesome. If you've seen 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' before, you should watch some of the behind-the-scenes action. McQuarrie and Cruise both have a reverence for authentic action which I love. And if you haven't watched the movie before, you're depriving yourself of one of the best action movies of the past decade. (LINK HERE)
